Lactation

As a Lactation Counselor (pending AALP certification expected May 2025), I am passionate about helping new mothers navigate their breastfeeding journey with confidence. I provide expert guidance on proper latch techniques, overcoming common breastfeeding challenges, and ensuring adequate milk supply. I also offer support with babywearing, which promotes bonding and helps stimulate milk production by keeping the baby close to the mother. Whether it’s addressing discomfort, helping with pumping and storage, or offering solutions for special situations such as low milk supply.

Please Note: I am currently only scheduling lactation appointments for mamas with due dates in June and beyond until my certification is complete.

My goal is to empower mothers with knowledge and encouragement so they can nourish their babies and enjoy a successful breastfeeding experience.

FAQ

The sooner you contact me during the pregnancy, the better. If baby is already here, contact me ASAP.

I do not at this time.

As a mama of 4 (2 of which I breastfed until 2 and 3 years old), a postpartum doula, and a certified lactation consultant, I have extensive firsthand experience as well as specialized training in lactation. I utilize reborn dolls that I make for demonstrations. I stay up to date in the world of lactation which is SO important as information and research are always changing.

Yes, and they are offered at a lower cost than in-home visits. However, depending on your level of care needed, I may suggest an in-home visit instead.

Absolutely! I HIGHLY recommend a hospital visit if you are having a hospital birth, as those first few days after baby is born are critical for breastfeeding.

I provide expert guidance on proper latch techniques, overcoming common breastfeeding challenges, and ensuring adequate milk supply. I offer personalized support tailored to each mother’s unique situation, whether it’s addressing discomfort, helping with pumping and storage, or offering solutions for special circumstances like low supply. I can help with skin to skin techniques and even baby wearing support which can help stimulate milk production by keeping mama and baby close. I also have baby carriers mamas can try out.
